Within our archives lie a compelling assemblage of glass negatives, captured by the skilled lens of photographer Montfort during the early 1920s. Preserved diligently by our esteemed City Preservationist, these captivating images, though bereft of names, stand as poignant testaments of a bygone era. It is our fervent aspiration that these remarkable photographic relics, crafted upon fragile glass plates, might one day catch the discerning eye of a visitor who recognizes the scenes depicted or, perchance, possesses the elusive originals themselves. In so doing, they may provide invaluable clues that unlock the mysteries surrounding the identities of the individuals immortalized within these frames.
