AFRICAN-AMERICAN MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 

1. Concerned Parents Scholarships – 3- $500 Scholarships awarded to Minority Students from all 4 local High Schools in Nelson County. 

2. Rosetta Dodson Scholarship – sponsored by Our Commonwealth organization - $1000 Scholarship 

3. NAACP Scholarship - $500 award to a graduating senior from each local High School – sponsored by NAACP Local Branch #1306 

4. First Baptist Church Education Assistance Award – Assistance to a member of First Baptist Church to any Secondary School 

5. T.I.G.E.R Foundation Scholarship – awarded from the Masonic Order of Eastern Star and Euclid Lodge  

6. Tariq Armour Scholarship – awarded to a Bardstown High School Senior that exhibits leadership qualities 

7. Patricia Baker Scholarship – sponsored by El Jay Cowherd, to an outstanding female athlete at Bardstown High School 

8. Mae Frances Downs Scholarship – sponsored by Rodney Downs in memory of his Grandmother
